چکیده

For complex curved difficult-to-machine parts, a new method based on pneumatic suspension abrasive pool bright finishing processing is proposed, using the mixing of abrasive, workpiece surface, and fluidized to produce relative motion velocity, so that solid particles surface microscopic two-body wear achieve effect precision machining. The experimental test material widely used Q235 steel plate. parameters include shape (round tube, square cylindrical), particle size (24, 80, 120 mesh count), gas–solid two-phase flow pattern (dispersion fluidization state, turbulent spurting state), (sphere, irregular), spindle speed (600, 900, 1200 rpm). An orthogonal was designed according parameters, degree influence each parameter cell evaluated by roughness together with scanning electron microscope (SEM) micrograph optimal combination judged extreme difference as well factor trend diagram. results show under present conditions, (Ra) can reach minimum value 0.4 μm. feasibility demonstrated from an point view, advantages are explored.

Abrasive Flow Machining: Major Research Areas &Analysis

Abrasive flow machining also known as abrasive flow deburring or extrude honing, is an interior surface finishing process characterized by flowing an abrasive-laden fluid through a work piece. This fluid is typically very viscous, having the consistency of putty, or dough. In this paper, the main purpose of the process is to investigate the surface finishing of die steel with the use of abrasiv...

Neural Network Modeling of Abrasive Flow Machining

This paper discusses the preliminary development of a neural network-based process monitor and off-line controller for abrasive flow machining of automotive engine intake manifolds. The process is only observable indirectly, yet the time at which machining achieves the specified air flow rate must be estimated accurately. A neural network model is used to estimate when the process has achieved ...

Literature Review on Abrasive Jet Machining

A machining operation is basically termed a material removal process, where material is removed in the form of chips. In a machining operation, the output parameter is achieved by controlling various input parameters. This paper discusses the effects of various input parameters in abrasive Jet machining (AJM) on the output parameter(Metal Removal Rate [MRR).This paper presents an extensive revi...

Material Removal Mechanisms in Abrasive Flow Machining

Abrasive flow machining (AFM) is a process for the production of excellent surface qualities of inner profiles that are difficult to access and outside edges, as well as for deburring and edge rounding. The grinding medium used in AFM consists of a polymer fluid, the so-called base, in which the abrasive grains are bound. The grinding medium is pressed along the contours at a defined pressure a...

Effect of Process Variables in Abrasive Flow Machining

When an abrasive mixed with a polymer of special rheological properties and forced through a restricting medium, the abrasive and polymer will act as a self forming tool that precisely removes work piece material and improve the surface finish at those areas restricting to the medium flow. It is capable of machining areas which are difficult to reach by conventional machining and can be used to...
